The explanation for the symbols of the Saudi Arabian Flag

The flag of Saudi Arabia was adopted in 1973. It is the result of the creation of the Saud dynasty, which ruled over large part of Arabia since 1744. Ibn Saud, founder and reunifyer of the country, was king from 1932 to his death in 1953. The flag consists of a green background, very representative in the Muslim countries of the Islamic religion, and a slogan, the Muslim profession of faith or Shahada, which states: "There is no god worthy to be worshiped except Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet”. Given the importance of this inscription for Muslim people, the Arab people in particular, it is forbidden to put this flag lowered, whatever the event. The sword which underline it (which represents justice) is pointing to the hoist. The place of entries and saber require that both sides of the flag are different.
