The explanation for the symbols of the Polish Flag

The flag of Poland was adopted on 1st August 1919. It has the particularity of being very close to the flags of Indonesia and Monaco, because it is composed of the same colors, even if they are reversed. It represents two bands of equal width : white top and red bottom. The symbolism of the colors is not known, although it is said to relate to the colors of the arms of Lithuania.
