Montenegro Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Montenegrin Flag
The flag of Montenegro (Zastava Crne Gore) was adopted on 12 July 2004. It consists of a red background surrounded by a golden line, with the national emblem in the center. This is a two-headed eagle, wearing the crown of Nicolas 1st of Montenegro (shield includes his initials in its center), open wings for freedom of the people as that of Albania, carrying in its claws a scepter and an egg topped with a cross.
