Bosnia and Herzegovina Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Bosnian Flag
The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted in 1998. The yellow triangle on the right of the flag represents both the shape of the country on the world map, but also a side for each community that consists the country : Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian. The blue background takes its origins in the European flag, as the white stars that line the triangle. Bosnia wished this way to reaffirm its effect belonging to Europe, after the difficult events it had known at the end of the twentieth century.
