Qatar Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Qatari Flag
Qatar's flag was adopted July 17, 1949. It is composed of two bands: white at the hoist and maroon at the wind. These bands are separated by a 9 white peaks broken line. Originally the flag was bearing the red color instead of the maroon, that it is one of the few in the world to adopt. it was replaced to represent the blood shed by soldiers during the Battle of Alzubara in 1930. Nine points relate to United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain and Qatar are added.
