Argentina Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Argentinian Flag
Argentina flag consists of three horizontal stripes: light blue - white – light blue. In its center is a sun coating a face, that of Inti, the Inca god of the Sun. The colors represent the sky and snows of the Andes mountain range bordering the country on its western shore, from Ushuaia to Bolivia. Some people also see the Bourbons colors (family of the King of Spain), against Napoleon's invasion. The presence of the sun can be related to its appearance in the first demonstration for independence on 25 May 1810. This flag was created in 1812 by the General Belgrano, which was a leader of the War of Independence.
